Client Overview
Our client is a leading independent academic publisher of books, journals, and library resources. Founded in the mid-20th century, they are globally recognised for their leadership in the social sciences, while also publishing extensively across science, technology and medicine (STM), humanities, and education. Their European dispatch hub plays a critical role in the accurate and timely distribution of publications across multiple regions.
The Challenge
Prior to partnering with Dragonfly Managed Technology Ltd, the client faced significant operational challenges within their European dispatch operation:
Print and label costs were out of control, driven by an oversized and inefficient printer fleet.
Print reliability was poor, with frequent device failures and limited or inconsistent engineering support.
Barcode and label accuracy was inconsistent, increasing the risk of dispatch errors.
Account management from the incumbent supplier was ineffective, resulting in slow issue resolution.
